Introduction

Human Development Organization is a Non-Governmental and Non-Profit Developmental Organization, established in March 2009, and registered with Society Act 1860 and FATA Directorate of Social Welfare and Control Ordinance 1961 in 2013 with the aim of community development across Pakistan in general and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and newly merged Districts of erstwhile FATA in Particular without any discrimination of race, caste, religion, culture and social status of residents among society. HDO got registered under Pakistani Laws, recognized and granted certificate by Pakistan Center for Philanthropist as Non-Profit Organization (NPO) and signed an MoU with Economic Affair Division (EAD) valid till 2024. HDO is active filer with FBR and having tax exemption status under section 2(36) (c) RTO Peshawar. In recognition of this thoroughly assessment, HDO has also granted active membership by Give2Asia, a charity organization in USA.

HDO has ample outreach to the target group, civil society, academia, private sector and government institutions in the proposed geographical location. The organization has already a competent staff and well organized policies to effectively implement the project activities. HDO has over the year provided technical and financial support to more than thousand families across KPK and ex-FATA. HDO strive to empower communities with financial, leadership and skill development programs that prepare women and youth for future challenges.

Human Development organization (HDO) has completed a multi sector projects for the sake of community development, women empowerment and children rights for sustainable development. Therefore, HDO has acceptability in community and government departments and got appreciation letter from District administration.

HDO has vast experience in community organization, advocacy and awareness programs. On the basis of our experience, we have the ability to help in designing, planning and implementation of the community based program, monitor and evaluate program progress and to give training to volunteers and national NGO staff. We have also proven experience of potential conflict zones and volatile regions including ex-FATA and have the ability to handle the worse situation and can work under stress.

Mission
To improve the quality of living standard of the deprived, vulnerable and marginalized communities, women and children in particular, through the interventions in education, health, environment, wash, gender equality and community physical infrastructure, skill development, capacity building, public health on sustainable basis.

 

Objective
To undertake development initiatives for promoting gender equality and protection of the rights of women.
To establish and foster a network of community-based organizations for better planning, management and utilization of resources.
To increase and improve basic quality education in the society.
To develop effective linkage with government agencies, non-government organization and donor agencies for community development.
To improve health and hygiene of the deprived community through awareness campaign along with provision of clean drinking water and better drainage system.
To promote micro-enterprises for raising income level of poor of the poorest
To facilitate linkages for increasing effective coverage of development process
To build capacity at local level, focusing women for sustainable development
To create awareness among different segments of the society regarding their rights, responsibilities and to enhance the economic status of women, children, aged and disable persons within the family for influencing the structural change.
To facilitate and assist the formation and strengthening of Community groups and Networks at the grass root level to manage sustainable development
To provide emergency relief services to the affected communities in times of disaster as well as launch rehabilitation programs.
To strengthen the capacity of HDO as an institution for the sustainable Socio-economic developmental interventions in the field of poverty alleviation and women empowerment.
